What if I told you that you could unlock $30,000 in revenue in the next 60 days without spending a single dollar on SEO, ad spend, or any form of marketing?

If you're currently doing $7,000 to $15,000 a month and feel stuck, this is how you break through without needing a single new customer. Most guys think they need more leads to grow. That’s only half the picture. There are only two real ways to grow a company:

  1. Get more customers.

  2. Increase the lifetime value (LTV) of your existing customers.

In this post, I’m focusing on that second part—how to raise the value of every customer you already have. Here are the five (plus one bonus) plays we use to unlock real revenue without adding a single new lead.

Play 1: Upsell Your Existing Clients

Upsells are the easiest money you will ever make. These people already trust you, and most of the time you’re already on-site. The key is making it natural and not pushy.

How to Do It Right

  • Pre-service text or call: Send a message before your visit. Something simple like, “Hey Sally, I’ll be out tomorrow and noticed a spike in mosquitoes in your area. Would you like to add a mosquito treatment to your service?”

  • On-site pitch: After your service, mention any additional issues you spotted like rodent activity or termite signs and ask if they’d like it handled right then.

  • Post-service follow-up: If they didn’t respond or weren’t home, follow up the next day with a quick check-in like, “Were you able to talk with Mark about the mosquito treatment?”

What to Upsell

Think: mosquito treatments, bait boxes, termite inspections, one-time projects, exclusions, lawn treatments, and especially bundled services. When you bundle services and sell them as year-round plans, you dramatically increase LTV.

Do this consistently and you’ll add an extra $3,000 to $5,000 per month in upsell revenue alone.

Play 2: Reactivate Old Clients

Most companies have a goldmine of former clients sitting in their CRM. These are people who canceled for all kinds of reasons—moving, financial issues, or simply forgetting to rebook.

How to Win Them Back

  • Send a simple message: “Hey Sally, it’s been a while. I’ll be in your area this week offering free inspections. Want me to stop by?”

  • Time your offers: Send messages when bugs are back—like when mosquitoes, wasps, or rodents become a real problem.

  • Create urgency and scarcity: Try messages like, “Only 4 spots left this week. Let me know by Friday.”

You already have the relationship. Just give them a reason to come back. This play alone can generate $2,000 to $4,500 per month.

Play 3: Launch a Referral Program

Referral customers convert at a ridiculously high rate. But most companies don’t have a system in place to encourage them.

How to Build a Great Referral Program

  • Offer something they want—$25 cash, a free month of service, or gift cards.

  • Track referrals in your CRM.

  • Use door hangers or hand out postcards with your customer’s name written on them.

  • Follow up via text if they’re not home.

Ask each customer for five names of people they know who could use pest control. Referrals can easily stack $2,500 to $3,700 in revenue.

Play 4: Offer Prepay Discounts

Prepaid service plans are incredibly valuable. Not only do they bring in cash up front, but they reduce churn by 6% to 8% per year.

Why Prepaids Work

  • Helps cover spring expenses like trucks, equipment, and chemicals.

  • Increases customer retention because people don’t want to switch after prepaying.

  • Gives you a cash buffer in slower seasons.

Send emails or texts in the fall or early spring. Even if you only get 40 customers to prepay $600, that’s $24,000 in your bank account before the busy season.

Play 5: Raise Your Prices

I get it—this one is scary at first. But it’s necessary. And once you’ve done it once, it becomes much easier.

How to Do It

  • Raise prices by at least 3% every year. Ideally, aim for 10% to 20% if it’s been a while.

  • Start with your lowest-paying clients. If some fall off, that’s okay—you’ll make the same or more with fewer, better clients.

  • If needed, send a text or email: “Due to rising costs, your monthly rate will go from X to Y, effective [Date].”

Even a small price bump across your base can add $1,000 to $3,000 per month in pure profit.

Bonus Play 6: Seasonal or Specialty Add-ons

These are easy wins. You’re already on-site, and often the customer has additional needs.

Examples

  • Flea and tick treatments

  • Crawl space sealing

  • Ant barriers

  • Lawn sprays

  • Wildlife exclusions

  • Insulation work

Even if you only book a few jobs a month, you’re adding $5,000 to $10,000 in revenue per year just from these extras.

Recap: Your $30K Roadmap Without New Leads

Let’s tally it up:

  • Upsells: $3,000 to $5,000/month

  • Reactivations: $2,000 to $4,500/month

  • Referrals: $2,500 to $3,700/month

  • Prepaids: $5,000 to $10,000 upfront

  • Price Increases: $1,000 to $3,000/month

  • Bonus Add-ons: $5,000 to $10,000/year

That’s $35,000 to $38,000 in new revenue, all without adding a single new customer.

If you're doing $8,000 to $15,000 per month right now, this is exactly how you get unstuck and grow profitably with better clients and more margin.
